Caring for Patients as They Approach End of Life (Complimentary workshop)
Primary care clinicians have long had a special interest in caring for their patients at the end of life.
We invite all those interested in caring for patients as they approach end of life to join us for this "complimentary" training program. Community based practitioners, faculty members, residents and medical students are welcome.  Our goal is to increase the hospice and palliative care abilities of all primary care clinicians and to increase the number of primary care clinicians willing to serve as part-time hospice directors. If you are new to this area or if you want to refresh your knowledge and skills, this program is for you.  Beyond this offering, the FMEC is forming an e-Learning Community to support those who serve as a part-time hospice medical director. We will use tools available through our website and other social media to connect and support those who provide clinical and educational services. We invite you to join our learning community.
